They were League fans who attacked the reporter. There are two types of rugby, rugby
union, generally referred to as “rugby” and rugby league. generally referred to as
“league”. We’d never attack a reporter, we only attack referees (e.g. the lunatic South
African fan who ran on to the field and tackled the ref during a Springboks game a
couple of years ago).
