Please do my homework

30 September 2002 by danielbowen

This isn’t a false question it is an Assignment for my daughter for school so please answer truthfully if you will it would be greatly appreciated. My question is this, In Sydney, Australia what is the weather like all year round, what type of clothing would you wear all year round, and what would a person do all year round? Thank you for your time and if it’s not too much to ask I know that your are ahead of us time wise but I need this by Monday Sept.30 in the late afternoon if possible. Again thank you for your time and I hope you are able to answer my questions. - Leo, location unknown

Welcome to the Toxic Custard Homework Service. We have a small army of researchers, willing to take on any assignment your kids might have. Just have your credit card ready.

The weather in Sydney, Australia (not Sydney, Canada) varies quite a bit. Sometimes it rains, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it’s hot, sometimes it’s cold. I’m being deliberately vague here, in an absolutely terrible attempt to cover up the fact that I don’t know much more about Sydney’s climate, and haven’t got the time to research it.

Fact is, it’s already Monday September 30th, and in fact it’s almost 11pm. Since you didn’t say where in the world you are, I have no idea if the deadline has passed or not. Maybe it already has, and your daughter has failed her assignment, and the whole subject, and will be kept down next year and lose all her friends and suffer ridicule from her classmates. But that’s what happens when you try and rely on a dodgy, occasionally updated Q&A web site for answers, I suppose.

I don’t have the time to research this, but I have contributed (by way of taxes) to a whole government department who have the time, equipment and money to do a much better job at researching the weather than I ever could. They’re called the Bureau of Meteorology, and their web site is ready and waiting for you to hit it right now. Head for the Climate Averages section, and you should find what you’re looking for.

  • Climate averages for NSW and ACT
